What this notice covers
This notice explains how your information is used when you sign up or order online.
What information we collect
- Age in years (not date of birth), gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, relationship status, employment, education or training status, and your full postcode
- A unique C-Card number (this does not identify you)
- Email address (for your digital C-Card)
- Name and address for delivery only, this is deleted straight after your delivery is sent.
Why we collect it
- To register you for C-Card
- To send safer sex products and/or a digital card
- To make sure the service is safe and works properly
- Improve sexual health services across the city
How long we keep it
- Email addresses are deleted once your card is sent
- Delivery details are deleted once orders are posted
- Other data is stored without your name attached
Who can see it
- Only a small group of trained staff working for Nottingham City Council on the C-Card service
- We would only share limited information if there was a serious concern about someone’s safety, and we needed to act to help keep them safe. This would only be with appropriate services, such as the police or safeguarding professionals.
Because we don’t store names against C-Card numbers, we can’t confirm identity or share personal data back. If you want your information deleted, you may be asked for your C-Card number so we can find and remove it.
